Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knapp misses the body punch
and Diggler counters by moving into the clinch.
Knapp really is a fat lump.
Knapp gets control of Diggler's arms and successfully pulls guard. Knapp will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Knapp wants to get back to his feet but Diggler is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Diggler stands up and waves to Knapp to follow him.
Diggler closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Knapp to the mat! Knapp manages to get full guard.
Knapp wants to stand up but Diggler is controlling him.
Knapp manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Diggler manages to get himself to full guard.
Diggler is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Diggler manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Diggler takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Knapp might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Diggler is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Knapp to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Knapp shrugs it off.

Diggler swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Knapp is now in Diggler's guard. A big mistake from Diggler there, giving up the dominant position!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Knapp is on top in guard.

A nice inside leg kick there by Diggler. That's going to slow Knapp down.

Knapp throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Knapp misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Diggler.
Diggler closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Diggler lands in his opponent's guard.

Knapp wants to stand up but Diggler is controlling him.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Diggler. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Knapp is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Dirk Diggler is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Knapp takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Diggler thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Diggler takes a little break here. Knapp wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Diggler tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Diggler has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Knapp is looking for a sweep.

Diggler landing a few strikes.
Knapp can't do much from the bottom here.
Knapp sneaks back into half guard.
Diggler content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Knapp is looking to control Diggler's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Knapp avoid being mounted?

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Knapp gets caught napping as Diggler dives in and scores a takedown. Knapp manages to retain guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Diggler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Diggler is taking a breather. Knapp says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Diggler tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Knapp keeps the fight on the outside.

Diggler dives in and scores a takedown into Knapp's guard.
Diggler slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Diggler has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
