And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bucky The Badger!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Badger scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
We've been told by Speed's head coaches at THC playhouse that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
The Badger throws a hook to the side of Speed's head but Speed sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Speed misses with a low kick as The Badger jumps back.
Speed takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Speed ducks under a wild hook from The Badger.
The Badger wants to clinch.
The Badger misses with a looping right.
A looping hook to the body misses from The Badger. Speed does a little dance to reset his feet.
Speed thows a body shot but no joy.
The Badger misses with a looping left.
Speed checks a low kick from The Badger.
The Badger throws an overhand right that lands on Speed's shoulder, as Speed tries to avoid the shot.
Speed chopping away at his opponent's legs.
The Badger ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Speed moves away.
Speed scores with a nice right hand.
The Badger throws a hook to the side of Speed's head but Speed sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
The Badger takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The Badger misses with a looping left.

Speed turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
The Badger is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Speed misses with a straight right.
The Badger misses with a low kick.
Speed on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Nice straight punches there by Speed. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Speed.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by The Badger.
Speed steps to the side to avoid the strikes from The Badger.
Speed misses with a low kick.
The Badger scores with the left hand. Speed knows he should have avoided that one.
Speed keeps the fight on the outside.
Rufus Speed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Speed tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Speed throws a front kick aimed at The Badger's knee but The Badger avoids it well.
The Badger tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Speed tries to land a front kick but The Badger steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
The Badger throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
The fight stays on the outside here - The Badger looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The Badger closes the distance and clinches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Speed misses with a punch on the inside.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, The Badger creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Speed looking to slow down the pace here.
Speed misses with a hook to the ribs.
The Badger lands a nice shot to the body.
The Badger is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Speed breaks the clinch.
The Badger bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Speed's head backwards.
The Badger lunges at Speed with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Speed's hand.
Bucky The Badger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The Badger scores with a crisp jab that stopped Speed in his tracks.
The Badger plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Speed jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Speed finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Speed throws a nice outside leg kick.
Speed listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
The Badger misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Speed takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Speed lands a head kick. The Badger smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Speed connects with a solid leg kick.
The Badger looks to land a left hand but Speed moved out of range nicely.
The Badger connects with a leg kick. Speed looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Jab, jab by Speed - just one landing.
The Badger tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
The Badger cracks Speed with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The Badger just misses with a punch to the body.
Speed keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Speed on the wrong end of a nice hook.
The Badger scores with a nice strike.


Speed is rocked!
Speed avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Oh Speed is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A looping hook to the body misses from Speed. The Badger does a little dance to reset his feet.
The Badger throws out a loose jab but Speed uses good head movement to avoid it.
The Badger loads up on a big right hand but Speed slips the punch.
A shot to the body from Speed misses
and The Badger counters with a crisp right that sends Speed to the canvas! The Badger follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bucky The Badger!
Bucky The Badger decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
