The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolf dives in and grabs Watkins's left leg, looking for a takedown. Watkins pushes down on Wolf's head and hops out.
Watkins clobbers Wolf with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Watkins misses with a right hand

and Wolf counters by clinching up.
Watkins fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A head punch on the inside from Watkins fails to land.
Watkins swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Wolf is pushing Watkins up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Wolf breaks the clinch.

Wolf gets the takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wolf tries to score with some ground and pound. Watkins controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wolf tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Watkins wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wolf controlling the position from side mount.
Wolf throwing strikes but Watkins manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Watkins tries to stand but Wolf controls the position and pulls Watkins into his guard.
Watkins is looking to stand up but Wolf won't let him.

Watkins is sitting in close to Wolf's body. Wolf has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Watkins is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Watkins is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Wolf.
