The crowd seem to be enjoying Wild's choice of entrance music: Type O Negative - Love You to Death. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taphorn lands a front kick.
Wild throws a body punch but Taphorn moves out of range.
Taphorn misses with a looping left.
Taphorn throws a jab but it's blocked by Wild.
Wild tries to clinch there but Taphorn circles away.
Taphorn misses with an uppercut.
Wild with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Taphorn to score with a decent uppercut.
Taphorn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Taphorn throws a hook but Wild avoids it easily.
Wild has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Taphorn lands the left hand.
Peter Taphorn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Taphorn avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Taphorn lands a glancing blow to the side of Wild's head.
Wild connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Taphorn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wild moves away.

Taphorn is trying to pull guard but Wild turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Jared Wild was interviewed post fight and said 'I feel faint'.
