Hallman comes to the cage accompanied by Bleed It Out. Draconis Gherobane has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Marcus Hallman's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Hallman.
Gherobane lands with a hook. Hallman tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
We've been hearing reports that Hallman has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Hallman has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.


It looks like Marcus Hallman has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gherobane has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Hallman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gherobane avoids it really well and circles away.

and Hallman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gherobane's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Gherobane wants to get back to his feet but Hallman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Gherobane is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Gherobane wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hallman manages to pass to side control.

Hallman passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Gherobane!
Gherobane's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Hallman looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Gherobane is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Gherobane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hallman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gherobane is trying to stand.

Hallman is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gherobane to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gherobane shrugs it off.
Hallman throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gherobane is trying to stand up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hallman lands a nice shot to the head.

Hallman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gherobane can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hallman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gherobane's waist but Gherobane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hallman off to one side.
Gherobane scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hallman doesn't seem bothered though.
Draconis Gherobane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gherobane slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Gherobane takes a swing at Hallman's ribcage but misses.
Gherobane stalks Hallman and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hallman's face. Hallman staggers backwards, shaken.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hallman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Gherobane defends well and Hallman ends up having to push Gherobane into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Gherobane displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hallman.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Hallman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hallman moves forwards but Gherobane connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Marcus Hallman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gherobane misses with an uppercut. Hallman saw that one coming.
Gherobane keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Gherobane cracks Hallman with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hallman looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Gherobane finish him?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hallman gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Gherobane gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

During a confident post fight interview, Draconis Gherobane thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
