The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice lands a nice hook to Gregoire's body. Gregoire takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Slice closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Gregoire tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Slice swivels and escapes.
Slice lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Slice shoots in and bounces Gregoire off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Gregoire has control of Slice's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Slice regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Nick Gregoire will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Slice feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
