Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Dee BJ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul McKilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul McKilly will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Dee BJ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul McKilly!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BJ tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
McKilly lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
BJ darts in trying to clinch
and McKilly counters with a straight right hand.
BJ definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

McKilly gets tackled into the cage by BJ. BJ maintains the clinch.
McKilly is trying to break the clinch but BJ has him pressed against the cage.
BJ lands a right hand that snaps the head of McKilly backwards.
McKilly wants to break free but BJ has control.
McKilly misses with the head strike.
BJ tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

BJ pulls guard effortlessly.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

BJ is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McKilly is aware though and is defending well.
BJ might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
BJ throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
McKilly really doesn't want to stay on the ground with BJ. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McKilly would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
McKilly is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
BJ bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McKilly's guard.

BJ tries to close the distance and clinch but McKilly swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

BJ dives in for a single leg takedown but McKilly sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

A frustrated look appears on McKilly's face as he tries to break the clinch.
BJ drops down looking for an ankle pick but McKilly pulls his leg out and moves away.
BJ's hands are dropping dangerously low here and McKilly connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! BJ scrambles back to his feet.

McKilly keeps the fight on the outside.
McKilly connects with a jab.
BJ fails in his attempt to clinch.
McKilly throws out a loose jab but BJ uses good head movement to avoid it.

BJ moves into the clinch.

BJ ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. BJ no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Jay Dee BJ overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
McKilly wanted to stand there but BJ had control of the position.

McKilly stands up from guard. Let's bang!

BJ moves in looking to clinch but McKilly pushes him off.

BJ fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McKilly, pushing him back against the cage.
BJ tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McKilly smiles and moves away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

BJ bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McKilly's guard.

BJ drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McKilly manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now BJ has McKilly in his guard.

I think McKilly has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

This time I have lost, and I'm sorry for disappointing you all, but I promise to train harder and come back into the octagon next time an even better fighter.'.
