The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas with a nice cross.
Ferguson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Douglas is able to avoid easily.
Douglas throws a series of punches but Ferguson moves out of range.
No joy there for Ferguson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Douglas cracks Ferguson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Ferguson shoots in and drives through. Douglas sprawls well.

Ferguson shoots in looking for a takedown but Douglas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ferguson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Douglas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ferguson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Douglas manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Douglas, as that shot connected.
bj Ferguson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Douglas lunges at Ferguson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ferguson's hand.
Ferguson misses with a hook. Douglas ducked under it nicely.
Douglas throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ferguson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Douglas looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Douglas keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ferguson thows a body shot but no joy.
Ferguson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Douglas but Douglas pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Ferguson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Douglas tries to avoid it but Ferguson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Douglas to the ground. Douglas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Douglas takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A looping hook to the body misses from Douglas. Ferguson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Douglas fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Ferguson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Douglas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ferguson somewhat.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ferguson closes the distance and clinches up with Douglas, looking for a takedown. Ferguson pushes Douglas against the cage but Douglas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Douglas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Douglas feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fergusons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Douglas walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ferguson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Douglas scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Ferguson is looking to clinch but Douglas is avoiding it.
Oh Ferguson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ferguson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Douglas manages to avoid it.
Douglas thuds his right hand into Ferguson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Douglas drops Ferguson with a big left hand! Ferguson is injured, injured bad! Douglas jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
