Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Hammet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jiu Jitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammet comes to the cage accompanied by Finger Eleven - Slow Chemical. Jitsu has chosen Nikkfurie- The a la Menthe as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jiu Jitsu will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammet looks to land a combination. Jitsu sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

and Hammet counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hammet.
Hammet misses with a knee strike.
Hammet tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jitsu avoids it.

Hammet tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Jiu Jitsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gordon Hammet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jiu Jitsu.

Hammet throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Jitsu turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jitsu manages to end up in side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Hammet pushes Jitsu away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jitsu gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Hammet's coaches at HILITE Fighting Club have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Hammet trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Jitsu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Jitsu tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hammet is not content to let Jitsu control the position.

Jitsu has an Americana. Hammet didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Jitsu is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Jitsu hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
