The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson tries to land a front kick but Thyme steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A punch combination from Thyme misses.
Thyme misses with a low kick.

Dawson feints and as Thyme raises his hands in defense, Dawson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dawson tries to free his leg and advance position but Thyme is retaining full guard.
Thyme has momentary wrist control but Dawson slips an elbow through the middle.
Thyme is breathing heavily.
Dawson trying to control the position from guard on top but Thyme is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dawson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Dawson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Dawson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dawson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Thyme working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dawson.
Thyme tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Dawson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Thyme really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dawson trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Thyme manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Dawson kicks Thyme off and gets to his feet.

Dawson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Thyme looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Dawson throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Thyme stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Dawson follows into mount!

It looks like Justin Thyme has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Thyme is rocked!
Thyme definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Dawson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Thyme looks a forlorn figure.
Oh Thyme is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dawson lands a big elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dawson is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Thyme goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Dawson!
