Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Julian Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Karpienko throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sanchez was covering up waiting for the punch and Karpienko finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Sanchez looking for subs off his back but Karpienko has passed one foot through into half guard.
Well, if Karpienko is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Sanchez wants to get back to full guard.
Karpienko looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sanchez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Sanchez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Karpienko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nicolay Karpienko wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Sanchez doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Karpienko counters with a shoot takedown. Sanchez fights it but they end up in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Karpienko is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Sanchez is forced to tap! Great finish!
