Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kalisto Amudeng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anziz Soutchou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kalisto Amudeng!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Anziz Soutchou!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Soutchou gets tackled into the cage by Amudeng. Amudeng maintains the clinch.
Amudeng has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Soutchou after a bit of a struggle.

Soutchou breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Soutchou gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Soutchou is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Amudeng trying to control the position from guard on top but Soutchou is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Soutchou has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Amudeng can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Amudeng sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Soutchou's guard.
Soutchou wants to get back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Amudeng is nestled in close to Soutchou, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Soutchou trying to control but Amudeng postures up.
Soutchou slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Amudeng is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Soutchou closes the distance and pushes Amudeng back into the cage.

Amudeng tries to circle away but Soutchou has him pinned against the cage.
Soutchou tries to pull guard but Amudeng won't allow it.

Soutchou has clasped his hands together around Amudeng's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Amudeng prevents Soutchou from moving into mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Soutchou goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Amudeng has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Soutchou but great work by Amudeng.

Soutchou is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Amudeng has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Amudeng has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Amudeng prevents Soutchou from getting the reversal.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Amudeng cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Amudeng tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Soutchou tries to hold on but Amudeng pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Soutchou is desperately trying to improve his position but Amudeng has a good base and remains in mount.

Amudeng goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Soutchou is on top in guard.
Amudeng on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Amudeng tries to get out of the position.
Amudeng has control of Soutchou's left arm, preventing Soutchou from doing any damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kalisto Amudeng wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Soutchou shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Amudeng manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kalisto Amudeng will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Soutchou gets a double leg takedown into Amudeng's guard.

Amudeng is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Soutchou defends well.
Amudeng is controlling Soutchou's posture.
Amudeng looking for a sweep. Not yet Amudeng, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Amudeng throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Soutchou throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Amudeng works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kalisto Amudeng overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Amudeng wants to sweep here but Soutchou controlling him for the moment.
Soutchou working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Amudeng's head.
Amudeng has a closed guard, preventing Soutchou from standing up.

Amudeng is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Amudeng will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Soutchou trying to control but Amudeng is working from the bottom.
Amudeng pulls Soutchou in close to prevent any damage.

Soutchou drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Amudeng dives on top into guard.
Soutchou wants to stand up but Amudeng is controlling him.
Amudeng lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Amudeng avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Amudeng lands a couple of decent looking shots.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Amudeng passes Soutchou's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Amudeng content to control rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Amudeng is thwarting Soutchou's attempts to control the position.
Amudeng is taking a breather. Soutchou says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Soutchou moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Amudeng is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Soutchou thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Amudeng tries to stand but Soutchou is controlling from the bottom.
Soutchou is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Amudeng is controlling him.
Amudeng passes into half guard.
Soutchou is breathing heavily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Amudeng is thwarting Soutchou's attempts to control the position.
Soutchou wants to improve his position but Amudeng is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kalisto Amudeng will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Amudeng doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Soutchou counters by moving into the clinch.
Soutchou tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Amudeng smiles and moves away.
Amudeng misses with a takedown attempt - Soutchou sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Amudeng tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Soutchou paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Soutchou gets the takedown into side control.
Amudeng trying to remain calm as Soutchou controls from the top position.
Soutchou is looking to take a break and control but Amudeng is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Amudeng wants to control but Soutchou postures up.

Amudeng manages to get back to half guard.
Amudeng gets back to full guard.
Soutchou is stalling in the full guard.
Amudeng trying to control the position.
Soutchou working some strikes from top position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Amudeng lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Soutchou!
Soutchou tries to hold on but Amudeng pushes him away.
Amudeng can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Soutchou is looking to escape.
Amudeng looking to control and managing it successfully.
Soutchou is trying to escape the mount.

Amudeng works his way to his opponent's back.
Soutchou is in bad spot here.
Soutchou keeps trying to improve his position.
Soutchou takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Soutchou trying to control the hands but Amudeng won't let him.
Soutchou tries to escape the position.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Amudeng is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Soutchou defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Soutchou is trying to shake Amudeng off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Amudeng won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Soutchou blocks a head kick by Amudeng.
Amudeng tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kalisto Amudeng.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Amudeng, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
