Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Mathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lars Thunstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mathers comes to the cage accompanied by Superman. Thunstrom is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Prodigy - Spitfire. Lars Thunstrom has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Marshall Mathers's chin.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thunstrom has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mathers.
A head kick misses from Mathers.
Thunstrom is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mathers.
Mathers looks to land a left hand but Thunstrom moved out of range nicely.
Mathers displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Thunstrom.
Thunstrom looks to score with a jab to the body but Mathers is just out of range.
Thunstrom keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mathers.
Thunstrom misses with a hook.
Mathers swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Mathers jabs at Thunstrom's body.
Thunstrom pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mathers back to the cage. Thunstrom follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Mathers lands with a cross.
Thunstrom fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thunstrom has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mathers finds it's way round the side to connect with Thunstrom's head.

Mathers throws a leg kick but Thunstrom sees it coming and checks it nicely.

and Mathers counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Mathers.
Mathers lands with a right to the head.
Mathers tries to throw a body punch but Thunstrom avoids it by throwing Mathers back against the cage.
Thunstrom keeps control of Mathers as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Mathers misses with the head strike.
Thunstrom lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mathers backwards.
Mathers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Thunstrom lands a nice looking body shot.
Mathers walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mathers takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Thunstrom scores with a hook to the body. Mathers takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Thunstrom on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Mathers throws a leg kick but Thunstrom sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Thunstrom misses with a jab to the body
and Mathers counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Thunstrom throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mathers takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Thunstrom throws a right and a left that Mathers avoids nicely.
Thunstrom fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Mathers doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Thunstrom thuds a left hand into Mathers's body.
Thunstrom scores with a body shot.
Mathers throws a sloppy body shot
and Thunstrom counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Mathers looking to control but Thunstrom passes into half guard.
Thunstrom prevents Mathers from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mathers won't allow Thunstrom to pass to mount.
Thunstrom has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Mathers defend it? Thunstrom steps over the head and cranks it - Mathers is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Thunstrom!
