Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toa Kiuga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russell Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kiuga comes to the cage accompanied by Wish. Jacobs has chosen Till I Collapse as his entrance music. Toa Kiuga has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs throws a leg kick but Kiuga sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Kiuga gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kiuga swings for the body but Jacobs moves out of range.
A nice leg kick lands there from Jacobs.
Nice body punch from Jacobs.
Kiuga dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jacobs misses with a low kick as Kiuga jumps back.

Jacobs throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jacobs misses with a hook. Kiuga ducked under it nicely.
Jacobs bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Kiuga ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jacobs moves away.

Jacobs fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kiuga manages to avoid it.
Jacobs avoids the head kick by Kiuga.
Jacobs scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Jacobs works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Jacobs lands with an overhand left.

Jacobs darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kiuga has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jacobs is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jacobs is trying to control. Kiuga wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Kiuga is looking to get back to full guard here but Jacobs has managed to pass to side control instead.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jacobs is working to tighten his grip on Kiuga's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kiuga has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Jacobs is really squeezing tight and eventually Kiuga passes out! Jacobs breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

After the fight, Russell Jacobs was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
