Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Burgundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Riding (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ron Burgundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Carl Riding!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burgundy moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Burgundy takes one to the side of the head.
Burgundy ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Burgundy takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Burgundy tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Riding counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Riding misses with a two punch combination.
Burgundy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Riding swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Riding lunges at Burgundy with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Burgundy's hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A nice leg kick lands there from Burgundy.
Riding throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Burgundy.
Riding throws a nice looking combination but Burgundy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ron Burgundy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Riding swats away the attempt to clinch by Burgundy.
Burgundy closes the distance looking to clinch
and Riding counters with a straight right hand.
Riding throws a low kick, looking for Burgundy's leg but Burgundy calmly moves out of range.
Some wild striking there from Riding.
Riding will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Burgundy rushes Riding and presses him up against the cage.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Burgundy.
Riding wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Burgundy landing knees to the head.
Riding tries to score a body lock takedown but Burgundy shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Riding as Burgundy tries to tie him up.
Riding takes an elbow to the forehead.
Riding is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Burgundy gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Burgundy creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Riding's defenses.

Ron Burgundy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carl Riding.
Riding looks winded!
Riding is trying to break free.

Burgundy pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Burgundy drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Riding gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Burgundy slows down the pace here.
Burgundy unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Burgundy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Burgundy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Riding counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Riding.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Riding stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Burgundy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Burgundy keeping moving, preventing Riding from controlling successfully.

Riding looking to sit in guard and control but Burgundy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Riding has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Burgundy has passed into side control.
Burgundy in side control lands a decent elbow.
Burgundy tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Burgundy working the strikes but Riding uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Burgundy wants to control but Riding is keeping him busy.
Riding is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Burgundy's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Burgundy's back!

Riding controls the action.
Riding is not going to allow Burgundy to sit and survive in this position.
Riding tries to keep control of the position but Burgundy is staying busy.
Even with his hooks in, Riding manages to miss with strikes from the back.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Riding working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Burgundy is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Riding has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Burgundy taps out!
