Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lenny Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Demaestri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lenny Lopez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Julian Demaestri!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Demaestri moves out of range of the strikes.
Demaestri ducks under a wild hook from Lopez.
Lopez misses with a wild body shot.

Lopez gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Demaestri to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Demaestri wanted to stand there but Lopez had control of the position.
Demaestri scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Demaestri is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Demaestri has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at ACADEMIA ESPARTANA ® . Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Lopez is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lopez is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Demaestri is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Demaestri trying to control the position from guard on top but Lopez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Demaestri pushing down on Lopez's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Lopez is trying to get back to full guard.
Demaestri is trying to control. Lopez wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Demaestri passes the guard and advances to mount!

Demaestri is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lopez can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Demaestri looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Demaestri postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lopez looks a forlorn figure.

Demaestri looking for a guillotine from mount but Lopez is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lopez has left one of his arms exposed and Demaestri doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Lopez screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
