Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksandr Vasilko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lil Oheat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Aleksandr Vasilko has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksandr Vasilko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lil Oheat!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasilko misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Aleksandr Vasilko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left and a right from Vasilko both land. Nice combination.
Vasilko shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Oheat defends it nicely.
Vasilko looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Oheat closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vasilko to the mat! Vasilko manages to get full guard.
Vasilko avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Oheat missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Vasilko is pulling down on Oheat's head to control his posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oheat throws a strike but Vasilko rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Oheat has his foot on Vasilko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vasilko works his way back into a safe position though.

Oheat has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vasilko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Oheat has his foot on Vasilko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vasilko works his way back into a safe position though.
Vasilko has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Oheat working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vasilko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vasilko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Vasilko decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Oheat, up you get!
Vasilko tries for a takedown but Oheat sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Oheat has a takedown stuffed.

Oheat shoots in and bounces Vasilko off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Oheat loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Oheat postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Vasilko is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Oheat, into his guard.

Oheat has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vasilko can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Vasilko wants to control from the top but Oheat keeps moving.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Vasilko's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oheat is looking for a triangle here but Vasilko uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Oheat tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vasilko wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Oheat is trying to work for a sweep but Vasilko has mounted him!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oheat slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Vasilko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Oheat on the ground.
Vasilko wants to stand up but Oheat has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Oheat looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Oheat looks winded!

Oheat is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Vasilko pulls his head out easily.
Vasilko controlling the action here.
Vasilko tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Oheat actively working from the bottom here.

Oheat looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Oheat is looking to improve his position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Vasilko in particular looking to stall.

Vasilko moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Oheat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Oheat tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Vasilko can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Oheat is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lil Oheat dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Vasilko digs a good hook to Oheat's body.
Vasilko lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Oheat.

Vasilko moves into the clinch.
Oheat is looking for a takedown.
Vasilko is trying to pull guard but Oheat has him pressed against the cage.
Oheat is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Aleksandr Vasilko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lil Oheat.
Oheat wants a takedown but no success here.
Oheat has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Vasilko avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Oheat is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Oheat is breathing heavily.

Vasilko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Oheat takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Vasilko connects with a jab.
Vasilko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Oheat.
Vasilko lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
A right-left combo lands from Vasilko.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Oheat takes a jab right on the kisser.
Vasilko throws a series of punches but Oheat moves out of range.
Vasilko misses with the combination.
Some wild striking there from Vasilko.
Vasilko digs a good hook to Oheat's body.
Vasilko moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Jab, jab by Vasilko - just one landing.
A jab from Vasilko does it's job there.

Oheat dodges the punch combination from Vasilko.
Vasilko fails to land with a series of punches.
No luck for Oheat with that takedown attempt.

Vasilko pushes Oheat up against the cage in a clinch.

Vasilko breaks the clinch.
Oheat shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vasilko pinned against the cage. Vasilko gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Vasilko here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Vasilko throws a nice looking combination but Oheat bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Vasilko looks to land a combination but Oheat avoids it well.

Vasilko lands a left and a right that send Oheat crashing to the mat, dazed. Vasilko thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Oheat is rocked!
Vasilko Throws a clean left jab. Vasilko Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Oheat's chin! Oheat crumbles to the ground and Vasilko follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Vasilko!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Aleksandr Vasilko!
