The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazuhiro throws a wild body kick that Cuccaro sees coming a mile off.
Cuccaro throws a chopping leg kick but Kazuhiro manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Cuccaro tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kazuhiro moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Cuccaro throws a leg kick but Kazuhiro sees it coming and moves out of range.
Kazuhiro wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kazuhiro fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Cuccaro checks it well.
Kazuhiro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kazuhiro wants it to stay on the feet.

Kazuhiro fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cuccaro has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Cuccaro takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Horrible takedown by Cuccaro or perhaps it was just good defense by Kazuhiro which made him look bad.
Cuccaro tries to score with a low kick but Kazuhiro moves his leg out of the way.
Cuccaro fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Katsuro Kazuhiro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Domonico Cuccaro.

Domonico Cuccaro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cuccaro goes for a double leg but Kazuhiro avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kazuhiro continues to drive forward.
Kazuhiro lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Cuccaro backwards.

Cuccaro struggles to land a body shot inside as Kazuhiro controls his hands.
Cuccaro tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kazuhiro's elbow.

We've been informed that Cuccaro has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
