PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ash Ketchem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matty Deuche (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matty Deuche!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Deuche closes the distance and clinches.
Ketchem letting Deuche take a breather here.
Ketchem using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Deuche has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Deuche changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ketchem fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Ketchem tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Deuche counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Ketchem wants to control but Deuche is keeping busy.

Deuche is working for a kimura but Ketchem is defending it quite comfortably.
Deuche is looking to take a break and control but Ketchem is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Deuche really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ketchem. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ketchem had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Deuche is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ketchem Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Deuche's back instead.
Deuche wants to control his opponent's hands but Ketchem gets his hands free.

I really don't envy Deuche right now.
Deuche is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Ketchem is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Ketchem gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Ketchem gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Ketchem apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Deuche shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Deuche wants to control from the top but Ketchem keeps moving.
Deuche is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Ketchem has his feet on Deuche's thighs here. He's pushed Deuche off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Deuche screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
