Joshua comes to the cage accompanied by Slipknot - Dead Memories. Humza Joshua has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joshua throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Joshua shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Severn as he avoids it easily.
Joshua avoids the head kick by Severn.
Joshua wants to clinch up but Severn keeps it at a distance.

Joshua gets the takedown into side control.
Severn is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Joshua seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Severn gets full guard.
Severn has a closed guard, preventing Joshua from standing up.

Severn is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Joshua frees his head nicely. Oh but Severn has switched to an armbar! Joshua is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
