Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mick Haggar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicos Diassen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nicos Diassen!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diassen missing with a left hand there. Haggar was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Diassen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Haggar uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Diassen.
Haggar moves out of range as Diassen strikes.
Haggar misses with a wild body shot.
Diassen throws an overhand right that lands on Haggar's shoulder, as Haggar tries to avoid the shot.

Haggar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Diassen's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Haggar with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Haggar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diassen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Haggar has managed to get both his arms back between Diassen's legs - danger averted.

Diassen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Haggar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Haggar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Diassen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Diassen is looking to sweep but instead, Haggar has passed into half guard.
Diassen trying to hold on to Haggar's head to control him but Haggar postures up.

Diassen is looking to improve his position.
Haggar content to control rather than advance.
Diassen is trying to get back to full guard.
Haggar lands with a punch from half guard.

Haggar postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Diassen to stand up.

Haggar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Haggar is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Diassen has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Haggar is looking to defend but Diassen has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Haggar! Diassen pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Haggar taps out and this one is all over!
