Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alex Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Montague Withnail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hopkins might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Coming home -Dirty money. The crowd seem to be enjoying Withnail's choice of entrance music: Charlie Kunz -My Friend. Alex Hopkins has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Withnail misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hopkins pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hopkins goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
The fighters circling - Hopkins throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hopkins has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Hopkins scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Montague Withnail has been cut.
Hopkins misses with a hook. Withnail ducked under it nicely.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Withnail has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Withnail tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hopkins swivels and escapes.

Withnail walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Hopkins throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Withnail sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hopkins just misses with a punch to the body.
Hopkins sizes up Withnail with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Hopkins throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Withnail throws a nice looking combination but Hopkins bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hopkins clobbers Withnail with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

A looping hook to the body misses from Withnail. Hopkins does a little dance to reset his feet.
Withnail throws a series of punches but Hopkins avoids them all with ease.
Hopkins throws a hook but Withnail blocks it.
Hopkins throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A slapping body kick lands there for Hopkins.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hopkins looks to land a right hand but Withnail moved out of range.
Withnail throws a right hand that Hopkins ducks under and follows up with a left that Hopkins also avoids with ease.
Hopkins throws a looping overhand right but Withnail ducks down to avoid it.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Withnail connects with a nice short shot to Hopkins's temple.

Withnail wants to take a breather but Hopkins is having none of it.

Hopkins has hold of Withnail's hands but Withnail slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Withnail landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Hopkins looks like he's trying to stand up.

Withnail in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Hopkins tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Withnail!
