The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carlyon gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Carlyon's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Bast scores a nice knee to the body.
Bast putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Carlyon in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Bast has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Carlyon as Bast tries to tie him up.
Carlyon fails to pull guard.
Bast tries to break free but Carlyon pushes him back against the cage.

Carlyon is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bast can't fight it off and eventually Carlyon manages to take the fight to the floor. Bast looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bast is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Carlyon dives into side control.

Carlyon just content to control the position.
Bast is pushing Carlyon's head away, looking to escape. Carlyon manages to hold on to the position though.

Carlyon working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Bast tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Bast is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Carlyon throwing damaging strikes from the back! Bast could be in trouble here!

Carlyon has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Bast! Can he survive? No! He's out! Carlyon gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
