The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogg stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Stoker.
Hogg misses with a hook to the body
and Stoker counters with a stiff right hand.
Stoker throws a good cross that connects.
Hogg throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Stoker is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hogg.
Hogg takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

I was talking to Stoker's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd cheers as Stoker lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hogg doesn't seem phased though.

and Stoker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hogg lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Hogg on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Stoker is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Stoker goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stoker swings for the body but Hogg moves out of range.
Stoker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hogg tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Hogg feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Stoker sprawling to the canvas! Stoker rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hogg finish him?!
Hogg drops Stoker with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Stoker! Hogg dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

After winning the bout, Jefferson Davis Hogg thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
