Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Duggan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martti Syrja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duggan comes to the cage accompanied by HOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!. Jim Duggan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Syrja looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Duggan avoids the body shot from Syrja.
Syrja throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Duggan scores with a takedown into Syrja's guard.

Duggan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Duggan pushes down on Syrja's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Syrja tries to roll over but Duggan keeps him under control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Syrja has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Duggan is working away from the top position though.
Duggan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Syrja with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Duggan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Duggan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Syrja knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
