Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emery Knapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corvax Masi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knapp ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Masi moves away.
Knapp misses with a body punch
and Masi counters with a crisp one two that drops Knapp! Masi thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Knapp to his feet! Knapp is in big trouble!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Masi looking to score a takedown here. Knapp is defending well but Masi drives through and ends up in Knapp's guard.

Masi feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Knapps jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
It looks like Emery Knapp has been cut.

Knapp throws a right hand that Masi ducks under and follows up with a left that Masi also avoids with ease.
Masi blocks a jab.
Knapp misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Masi.
Knapp scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Masi looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Masi wants to take a breather but Knapp is having none of it.
Knapp is trying to stand back up but Masi is controlling him
Knapp wants to improve his position but Masi is controlling well.
Knapp is not content to let Masi control the position.
Masi is taking a breather. Knapp says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Corvax Masi hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Masi darts in and clinches Knapp up against the cage.
Knapp manages to break the clinch.

Corvax Masi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Knapp fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Masi manages to avoid it.
Knapp swings for the body but Masi moves out of range.

Masi shoots in and gets a takedown into Knapp's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Masi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Knapp manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Knapp is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Knapp throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Masi to regain full guard.
Knapp postures up in Masi's guard and throws a big left but Masi blocks it.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Masi. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Knapp is working Masi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Knapp distracts Masi with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Knapp accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Knapp throws an elbow that misses. Masi uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Knapp's guard. Nice move by Masi!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are working up against the cage. Knapp manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Masi tries to free his leg and advance position but Knapp is retaining full guard.

Masi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Knapp manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Masi has Knapp in his guard.

Masi throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Knapp escapes and throws Masi's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Knapp is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Masi looks calm but he's in trouble here. Knapp gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Masi is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Knapp lets go of the hold and Masi can pop his arm back in it's socket.
