Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elijah Samson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Momo Sy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Momo Sy told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Samson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sy, pushing him back against the cage.
Samson lands a left hand.

Samson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sy looks to score with a jab to the body but Samson is just out of range.
Elijah Samson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Samson closes the distance and pushes Sy back into the cage.

Samson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sy blocks a head kick by Samson.

Sy lands a left and a right that send Samson crashing to the mat, dazed. Sy thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Elijah Samson has been cut.

Samson tries a head kick but it misses.
Sy takes one to the side of the head.
Samson throws a head kick that half lands.

Samson scores with a head kick. Sy tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Sy closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Samson! Sy dives in looking to finish! Samson is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

During a confident post fight interview, Momo Sy thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
