Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Blankenship (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burt Reenulds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blankenship's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Dead Man's Party. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Burt Reenulds!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Blankenship.

Blankenship wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Reenulds, who protects the arm well.
Blankenship lands some shots froms side control.


It looks like Burt Reenulds has been cut.

Blankenship looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Reenulds is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Blankenship is pressing down on Reenulds's thigh, looking to free his foot. Reenulds is holding on for now.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Blankenship lands a nice short elbow.

Blankenship is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Blankenship stands up and beckons Reenulds to his feet.

Reenulds decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Blankenship is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Reenulds jumps into side control!

Blankenship throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Reenulds escapes and throws Blankenship's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Blankenship bucks up and tries to throw Reenulds off but instead Reenulds has got his back!

Reenulds wants to control but Blankenship manages to buck him off and is now in Reenulds's guard! Nice work there by Blankenship!

Blankenship postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Blankenship drops back looking for a leg! Reenulds is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Reenulds manages to kick Blankenship off! Blankenship jumps back into Reenulds's guard.
Blankenship has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Reenulds is proving hard to escape from.

Reenulds is looking for a triangle but Blankenship pushes his legs off easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Blankenship working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Blankenship stands up and waves to Reenulds to follow him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kenny Blankenship will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Blankenship closes the distance looking to clinch

and Reenulds counters with a nice double leg into side control. Blankenship won't be happy with that.

Blankenship throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Reenulds closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Blankenship wants to improve his position but Reenulds is controlling well.

Blankenship is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Reenulds's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Reenulds's back!

Reenulds has control of Blankenship's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Blankenship regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Burt Reenulds has got the better of the ground game so far.

Reenulds has hold of Blankenship's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Blankenship manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Reenulds shoots in looking for a takedown. Blankenship tries to sprawl out of it but Reenulds keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blankenship manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
