Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Shunkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shunkov has chosen Eminem till i collapse as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shunkov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Harper's guard.
Harper pulls Shunkov in close to his closed guard and prevents Shunkov from doing any damage or advancing position.
Shunkov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shunkov goes for a double leg but Harper avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Harper continues to drive forward.

Harper really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Shunkov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Harper is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Sergei Shunkov has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Shunkov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Harper connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Shunkov scrambles back to his feet.

Harper sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Shunkov's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shunkov has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Harper is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Shunkov.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brandon Harper.
