The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fistface looks to land a right hand but West moved out of range.
West misses with a looping left.
Fistface misses with a wild combination.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts West, as that shot connected.
A telegraphed right hand from West misses the target.
West scores with a hook.

It looks like Matt Fistface has been cut.
West bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Fistface lands with a cross.

It looks like Wolf West has been cut.
Fistface dodges the punch combination from West.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A left lands for West.
Nice defenses there by West.
West throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fistface.
West loads up on a big right hand but Fistface slips the punch.

Fistface throws a wild body kick that West sees coming a mile off.

West throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fistface sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Fistface tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. West manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
West throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Fistface wants to clinch up but West keeps it at a distance.
West moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Fistface goes for a double leg but West avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as West continues to drive forward.
Oh West is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A head punch on the inside from West fails to land.
West seems to have got his legs back now.

Fistface pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
West wants to clinch up but Fistface keeps it at a distance.
West drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Fistface tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but West swivels and escapes.
West throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Fistface tries to keep at a distance but West has taken the fight into the clinch.
West throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Fistfaces head.

A battle for position here, against the cage.
West stalling the fight.
Fistface wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Fistface misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from West.
West has Fistface pressed against the cage, preventing Fistface from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Fistface wants to break the clinch but can't.

Fistface escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
West swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
West misses with a double jab.
Fistface swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and West counters with a three punch combo that has Fistface backing up. Fistface nods at West to acknowledge the strikes.
Fistface dives in for a single leg takedown but West sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Wolf West has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Fistface.

West dodges the punch combination from Fistface.
Matt Fistface seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fistface misses with a lunging right hand
and West counters with a left and a right that stings Fistface.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fistface catches West with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
West tries to close the distance and clinch but Fistface swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Fistface's hands are dropping dangerously low here and West connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fistface scrambles back to his feet.

That has opened up Matt Fistface's cut even more.
Fistface shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says West as he avoids it easily.
West misses with a few strikes there.
Fistface misses the jab.
Fistface lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

West lands a left and a right that send Fistface crashing to the mat, dazed. West thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
West ducks under a wild hook from Fistface.

Fistface clinches with his opponent.
Fistface can't break the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Fistface blocks an uppercut.
Fistface takes a shot to the head.
West has Fistface pressed against the cage, preventing Fistface from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Fistface wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wolf West dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

West walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Fistface drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! West swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Fistface's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
