The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Turenne fails with an attempt to clinch.
De Turenne has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Sanitarium in the buildup to the fight.

and Richard counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Richard postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! De Turenne is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Richard, into his guard.

Richard is pulling down on De Turenne's head to control his posture.

De Turenne got a little sloppy there for a moment and Richard has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, De Turenne has managed to get both his arms back between Richard's legs - danger averted.
Richard is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! De Turenne rolls with it to try and escape but Richard cranks on the arm and De Turenne is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
