The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azuibike shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hughes defends it nicely.
Azuibike fails with a takedown attempt.

Azuibike gets caught napping as Hughes dives in and scores a takedown. Azuibike manages to retain guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Hughes lands a couple of elbows.
Azuibike is looking to stand up but Hughes isn't so interested in that idea.

Hughes loads up on a big left hand. Azuibike felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Hughes looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Azuibike can't hide his disappointment, as Hughes celebrates the victory.

After the fight, Leandro Hughes was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
