Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Howard Holowitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reginald Longbottom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longbottom tries to bum rush Holowitz with a series of wild strikes but Holowitz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Longbottom tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Holowitz paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Holowitz feints and as Longbottom raises his hands in defense, Holowitz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Holowitz passes Longbottom's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Holowitz is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Longbottom has managed to free his arm - good work.

Holowitz is working for a submission of some sort.
Holowitz working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Longbottom's thigh. Longbottom counters though and makes it back to full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Longbottom is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Holowitz is controlling him.
Holowitz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Longbottom swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Holowitz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Holowitz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Holowitz drops back, looking for a kneebar! Longbottom looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Longbottom looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Longbottom!
Holowitz is looking for a sweep.

Longbottom looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Holowitz manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Holowitz works his way to full guard. Good work.
Longbottom wants to get up but he can't break Holowitz's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Holowitz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Longbottom defends it easily.

Longbottom decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Holowitz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Longbottom was covering up waiting for the punch and Holowitz finishes the takedown easily into guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Howard Holowitz dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Longbottom doesn't manage to clinch there - Holowitz circles away.

Holowitz fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Longbottom to the ground. Holowitz is now in Longbottom's guard.

A big strike lands for Longbottom! That's really hurt Holowitz and he's turned his back - Longbottom keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Longbottom jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
