Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miguel Taurus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyrone Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A nice leg kick lands there from Taurus.
Wallace tries to move into range but Taurus moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Wallace drives through and clinches with Taurus against the ropes.
Wallace is trying to pull guard but Taurus turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch.
Taurus lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Tyrone Wallace has been cut.
Taurus tries to land a knee to the head but Wallace blocks with his arms.
Taurus gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Wallace.
I was talking to Taurus's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Miguel Taurus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyrone Wallace.
Wallace has Taurus pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Taurus manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Taurus can't find room to land a body shot as Wallace controls the action.

Wallace has Taurus pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Taurus manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Wallace drops down looking for an ankle pick but Taurus pulls his leg out and moves away.

Taurus wants to clinch up but Wallace keeps it at a distance.
Wallace is looking to clinch but Taurus is avoiding it.
Sloppy strikes from Taurus. Those never looked like landing.
Wallace looks for a takedown but Taurus sprawls well.
Taurus throws the kick towards the body but Wallace avoids it.

and Wallace counters with a nice double leg into side control. Taurus won't be happy with that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wallace tries to move into full mount but can't pass Taurus's legs.

Wallace is putting a hurting on Taurus here, landing some big shots from side control.

Taurus tries to buck Wallace off but Wallace is having none of it.
Wallace cracks Taurus with a big elbow.
Wallace has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Wallace lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Taurus down.
Taurus is trying to improve his position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wallace misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Wallace stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Wallace darts in looking for a takedown but Taurus gets double underhooks and turns Wallace into the ropes.

Wallace gets control of Taurus's arms and successfully pulls guard. Wallace will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Wallace is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Wallace wants to sweep here but Taurus controlling him for the moment.
Wallace wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Wallace keeping moving, preventing Taurus from controlling successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wallace is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Tyrone Wallace has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Wallace shoots for a double leg takedown but Taurus sprawls well. He's pushed Wallace's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Taurus misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wallace.

Wallace throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Taurus tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wallace is in Taurus's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Wallace stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Taurus swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Taurus had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wallace defends it easily.

Wallace slips nicely into half guard.
Wallace throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Wallace trying to pass the guard but Taurus defending well.

Nice strikes from Wallace there.
Taurus trying to hold on to Wallace's head to control him but Wallace postures up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wallace connects with a nice short shot to Taurus's temple.

Wallace passes into side control, despite Taurus's attempt to control the position.

Wallace prevents Taurus from getting the reversal.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Wallace working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Wallace lands with some strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wallace breaks from Taurus's wrist control and lands an elbow.


Taurus is rocked!
Taurus tries to hold on but Wallace pushes him away.
Oh Taurus is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Wallace punishing his opponent with strikes.
Taurus is bucking up trying to escape but Wallace cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Wallace postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Taurus badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Wallace around the waist but Wallace pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Wallace is the winner by TKO! Wallace jumps onto the ropes and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tyrone Wallace!
