Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Simon Strom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arturo Gatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatti tries to close the distance and clinch but Strom swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Strom misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Strom fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Strom closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gatti circles away.

Gatti changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Strom looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Gatti passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Strom!
Gatti tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Strom knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gatti on the ground.
Strom throwing hammer fists to the chest of Gatti. What's that going to do exactly?

Strom has left one of his arms exposed and Gatti doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Strom screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
