Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juancho Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins's entrance music is 3 little pigs. A fine choice. Juancho Rivera has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jeremy Jenkins's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Juancho Rivera!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera scores with a jab to the jaw.
Rivera chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Jenkins closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rivera quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Rivera blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jenkins.
Jenkins is keen to just control but Rivera is a slippery customer.
Jenkins thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rivera's head.
Jenkins wants to pass to mount but Rivera is defending the position.
Rivera looks like he's trying to stand up.
Rivera has hold of Jenkins's hands but Jenkins slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jenkins wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rivera, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jenkins tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jenkins has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Rivera tries to bench press Jenkins off him but Jenkins keeps the position.

Jenkins tries for a kimura but Rivera is defending well.
Jenkins throws an elbow but Rivera slips to the side and avoids it well.

Jenkins working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Rivera tries to bench press Jenkins off him but Jenkins keeps the position.
Rivera managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Jenkins.

Rivera takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Jenkins working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The strikes coming from Jenkins are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Jenkins is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rivera knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Rivera throws a hook but Jenkins blocks it.
Jenkins buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jenkins checks the leg kick nicely there.
Rivera takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Rivera looks to score with a jab to the body but Jenkins is just out of range.
Jenkins takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jenkins tries to clinch but Rivera is having none of it.
Rivera scores with a punch to the head.

Jenkins throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rivera tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jenkins is in Rivera's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jeremy Jenkins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jenkins is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rivera is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rivera has escaped and now he's on top!
Jenkins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jenkins connects with a nice short shot to Rivera's temple.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jenkins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
