Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Simon Williamson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Lombard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williamson comes to the cage accompanied by Iggy Pop - Lust For Life . Lombard has chosen cant be touched as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Hector Lombard was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Simon Williamson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hector Lombard!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williamson misses with a wild body shot.
A big left from Lombard misses.
Lombard throws a right and a left that both miss.
Williamson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lombard manages to avoid it.
Williamson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lombard to the mat! Lombard manages to get full guard.
Lombard wants to get back to his feet but Williamson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Williamson is working Lombard over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Williamson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Williamson chips away with some ground and pound.
Williamson won't allow Lombard to get back to his feet.
Lombard can't keep his opponent in guard - Williamson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Williamson in particular looking to stall.
Williamson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Williamson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lombard with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Williamson is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Lombard is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Hector Lombard was interviewed post fight and said 'this was the last time you saw me in the octagon i hope ive given you fans some good entertaining fights and knockouts but its time to retire now.'.
