The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rock fails to land with a series of punches.
Hirvonen takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Rock drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Rock has gone for a leg lock! Hirvonen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rock's guard.
Hirvonen wants to pass the guard but Rock is keeping the position.

Hirvonen drops back looking for a leg! Rock is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rock manages to kick Hirvonen off! Hirvonen jumps back into Rock's guard.

Hirvonen dives in and grabs Rock's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rock pushes down on Hirvonen's head and hops out.

Hirvonen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rock moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hirvonen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rock throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Heikki Hirvonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Rock counters with a left and a right that stings Hirvonen.
Rock will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hirvonen shoots in for a takedown but Rock shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hirvonen connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rock momentarily.
Hirvonen scores with a head kick. Rock tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Hirvonen lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rock backs up against the cage.

The fighters circle, before Hirvonen throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Rock's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Hirvonen lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
