Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cooper Abreu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo McGarry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abreu comes to the cage accompanied by Die for Metal. McGarry has chosen Welcome to the Machine as his entrance music. Leo McGarry acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGarry looks to score with a jab to the body but Abreu is just out of range.
McGarry connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Abreu momentarily.
McGarry tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Abreu was well out of range. Poor timing from McGarry.

and Abreu decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McGarry's guard.
McGarry told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
McGarry bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Abreu's guard.

Abreu looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McGarry with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Abreu is nestled in close to McGarry, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

McGarry is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Abreu lets go of the hold and McGarry can pop his arm back in it's socket.

After the fight, Cooper Abreu was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
