Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Gonzales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Todd!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales has closed the distance and engaged Todd in a clinch.
Gonzales is trying to pull guard but Todd turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Gonzales is fighting off a takedown attempt but Todd is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gonzales to the mat. Gonzales regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Todd must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gonzales looking for a sweep. Not yet Gonzales, not yet.
Todd landing with the ground and pound.
Todd is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gonzales has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Todd is looking to defend but Gonzales has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Todd! Gonzales pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Todd taps out and this one is all over!
