Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Abu Rock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rock shoots for a double leg takedown but Branic sprawls well. He's pushed Rock's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Horrible takedown by Branic or perhaps it was just good defense by Rock which made him look bad.
Rock is looking to clinch but Branic is avoiding it.
Rock gets tackled into the cage by Branic. Branic maintains the clinch.
Branic is looking for a takedown.
Branic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Branic wants to clinch up but Rock keeps it at a distance.
Rock shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rock was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Rock has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Branic connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Branic is looking to control Rock's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Branic avoid being mounted?

Rock wants to stand up but Branic is controlling the position.

Branic tries to kick Rock off in order to stand up. Rock Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Branic enables Rock to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Branic manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We're going to have a standup here because Abu Rock wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Rock shoots in and bounces Branic off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Branic shoots in looking for a takedown. Rock tries to sprawl out of it but Branic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rock manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Abu Rock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miodrag Branic.

Rock tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rock has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Rock swings around for an armbar but Branic sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Rock's guard.
Branic prevents Rock from getting back to his feet.
Branic wants to pass the guard but Rock is keeping the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rock shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Branic's guard.

Rock looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Branic is looking for a sweep. Rock is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rock is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Branic manages to get to full guard.

Rock trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Branic wants to stand but Rock is controlling the position.
Branic throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rock escapes and throws Branic's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Rock is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Branic knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Rock wants to control but Branic is keeping him busy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee asks Rock politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rock prefers to stall for the moment though.
Miodrag Branic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Abu Rock is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Rock seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Branic for as long as he can get away with.
And that's the end of the fight!
Abu Rock showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rock, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
