Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Xavier Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Ferrari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Xavier Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Mario Ferrari!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mario Ferrari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Armstrong circles away from the clinch attempt
and Armstrong counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

We've been informed that Ferrari has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The crowd are calling 'kneeees!' as Ferrari has the Thai clinch. Ferrari obliges, smashing a knee brutally into Armstrong's nose and sending him crashing to the canvas! Will be beat the count?! 3,4,5,6,7,8...9... and he's up on 9! Wow, that was close! The referee takes a long look and is going to allow it to continue!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ferrari creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Armstrong crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5,6... it doesn't look like he's going to make it! Armstrong face plants back to the mat and the referee calls off the fight! Ferrari takes it with a brutal technical knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Mario Ferrari!
A relieved looking Mario Ferrari thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
