Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roland Macdonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipee Felipee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Felipee Felipee is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macdonald shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Felipee pinned against the cage. Felipee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Macdonald throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Felipee swats away the attempt to clinch by Macdonald.
Macdonald shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Felipee as he avoids it easily.
Macdonald could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Macdonald shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Felipee manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Felipee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Macdonald looking to sit in guard and control but Felipee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Macdonald is looking to take a break and control but Felipee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Macdonald is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Felipee is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Roland Macdonald.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Macdonald is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Felipee's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Felipee's back!

Macdonald is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Felipee with him. Felipee is trying to defend but Macdonald has an arm under the chin now! Felipee grimaces and is forced to tap out!
