The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander fails with the takedown
and Jones counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Alexander is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jones gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Alexander has Jones pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Alexander pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jones tumbling to the mat - Alexander dives into Jones's guard.

and Jones counters by clinching up.
