Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Javier Cruzado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filipo Lakopa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lakopa has chosen Armaggedon as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Filipo Lakopa!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lakopa tries to clinch

and Cruzado counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Lakopa!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Cruzado throws a strike but Lakopa avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cruzado trying to control but Lakopa is working from the bottom.

Lakopa keeping moving, preventing Cruzado from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Javier Cruzado wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Lakopa throws a head kick that misses
and Cruzado makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Lakopa fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lakopa misses with a takedown attempt - Cruzado sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Cruzado counters with a left hand that sends Lakopa to the canvas!

Lakopa is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cruzado is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Lakopa is still in real trouble! Can Cruzado finish him?
Cruzado has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Lakopa is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cruzado is controlling him.
Lakopa seems to have recovered his senses.
Cruzado controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Javier Cruzado wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Lakopa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cruzado paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lakopa attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lakopa finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Cruzado's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Lakopa falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
