Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gianni Visnadi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Visnadi comes to the cage accompanied by Blind by Korn. Stark has chosen Sledgehammer! as his entrance music. Gianni Visnadi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gianni Visnadi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Stark!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stark has Visnadi up against the cage in a clinch.
Visnadi gets underhooks to prevent Stark's takedown attempt.

Stark has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Visnadi regains guard immediately.
Visnadi working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Stark.
Stark throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Visnadi works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Visnadi is on top in guard.
Stark keeping moving, preventing Visnadi from controlling successfully.
Visnadi tries to free his leg and advance position but Stark is retaining full guard.
Stark wants to sweep here but Visnadi controlling him for the moment.
Visnadi is looking to work some ground and pound but Stark has wrist control.

Visnadi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Stark has momentary wrist control but Visnadi slips an elbow through the middle.
Visnadi wants to control from the top but Stark keeps moving.

Visnadi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Stark manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Visnadi has Stark in his guard.

Visnadi wants to stand but Stark is controlling the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stark accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Visnadi throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Stark escapes and throws Visnadi's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Stark is nestled in close to Visnadi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Visnadi is looking for a sweep. Stark is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Visnadi is refusing to be controlled, as Stark sits in half guard.
Stark seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Stark seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Visnadi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Visnadi has hold of Stark's hands but Stark slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Stark looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Visnadi is trying to maintain the position but Stark is very close to passing his half guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Visnadi throws a head kick that misses.
Visnadi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gianni Visnadi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Visnadi takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Stark gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Visnadi is struggling to control the position.

Stark's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Stark wants the takedown. Visnadi is fighting it off but Stark persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Visnadi's guard against the cage.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Stark seems to be working for a kimura but Visnadi defends the submission attempt.
Stark thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Visnadi's head.

Steven Stark showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Stark avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Visnadi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Visnadi seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Visnadi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Stark manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Visnadi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stark but Stark pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Stark looks up at the clock and then as Visnadi takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Stark smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Visnadi seems a little lost for a moment, as Stark dominates the positioning.
Stark has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Visnadi is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Stark off and has taken his back!
Stark has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Stark is cranking Visnadi's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Visnadi! He's tightened the choke and Visnadi is tapping out!

After winning the bout, Steven Stark thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
