The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas throws a head kick but Petronov moves out of range.
Lucas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lucas doesn't manage to clinch there - Petronov circles away.

Petronov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lucas on his heels. He'll look to pass Lucas's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Petronov throws a big elbow that misses.
Petronov working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Lucas is breathing heavily.
Petronov throws an elbow that misses. Lucas uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Petronov's guard. Nice move by Lucas!
Petronov wants to get back to his feet but Lucas is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Lucas drops back, looking for a kneebar! Petronov looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Petronov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Petronov!
Petronov lands a decent elbow from side control.
Petronov scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Lucas is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Petronov can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
