The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escalda rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gmund moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Escalda gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Escalda jumps guard but Gmund stands there with Escalda around his waist. Escalda gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Gmund lands a nice uppercut.
