The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Northrend doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bresnar counters with a big uppercut that knocks Northrend off his feet! Bresnar dives into side control looking to finish!
Northrend is rocked!
It looks like Malygos Northrend has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Northrend tries to improve position but can't.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Bresnar looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Northrend can't hide his disappointment, as Bresnar celebrates the victory.
