The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marlin takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Garnet bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Garnet is looking to take a break and control but Marlin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Garnet cracks Marlin with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Garnet has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Garnet shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Marlin's guard.

and Garnet counters with a good, hard body kick but Marlin shrugs it off.
